Refund, Credit, Sponsorship & Event Attendance Policy

This policy applies to all purchases made through SWFL BUSINESS MAGAZINE LLC (“SWFL,” “we,” “us,” “our”).

1) Scope & Definitions

This policy covers:

  • Advertising & Editorial Placements (including Front Cover placements)

  • Sponsorships (Gold/Silver)

  • Subscriptions (if offered)

  • Business Speed Networking Event RSVPs

“Credit” means a non-cash account credit that may be applied toward eligible future SWFL products/services. Credits are not refunds, are not redeemable for cash, and are not transferable unless approved by SWFL in writing.

A) Advertising, Editorial Features & Placement Purchases (Including Front Cover)

2) Lock-In Policy — All Sales Final

Once you purchase and lock in your spot, your placement is reserved and committed. All sales are final and refunds are not provided, especially for any placement that requires scheduling, design layout, printing timelines, editorial planning, photography coordination, or production commitments.

3) Front Cover Placements (Shared Covers: 3–5 Participants)

Front Cover placements are non-refundable because:

  • covers are planned in advance,

  • production timelines are fixed, and shared covers require each participant’s commitment to complete the total package.

By purchasing a Front Cover placement, you acknowledge that your payment contributes to a group commitment and that your reserved slot may prevent another business from participating.

  • Limited Refund Window (Case-by-Case)

In certain situations, SWFL BUSINESS MAGAZINE LLC may consider a refund if you contact us within 48 hours of your purchase. Refund approval is not guaranteed and is reviewed case-by-case.

Once payment is received, we typically begin work immediately (including planning, scheduling, placement reservation, and production preparation). If work has already started or costs have been incurred, we reserve the right to deny a refund and may offer a credit instead, at our discretion.

If a refund is approved, it will be processed back to the original payment method and may take 5–7 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.

If a refund is requested when there was no error or fault on our end and the request is simply a cancellation after committing, SWFL BUSINESS MAGAZINE LLC reserves the right to deny future advertising or services to protect our limited inventory and production schedule.

For refund requests, contact: editor@swflbusinessmagazine.com

4) If You Cannot Participate — Credit / Move to a Future Edition

If you are unable to participate after purchase, SWFL may offer a credit to your account and move your placement to the following month (or a future edition), subject to availability, scheduling, and production deadlines.

  • This is a credit/reschedule remedy only, not a refund.

  • Credits must be used within 12 months unless SWFL approves otherwise in writing.

B) Refund Eligibility (Limited Exceptions for Non-Event Purchases)

5) Refund Eligibility (When Refunds May Be Considered)

Refunds are considered only in limited situations and only when the request is valid and meets the criteria below:

Refunds may be considered for:

  1. Billing errors (including duplicate charges)

  2. Unintentional subscription renewals (if applicable)

  3. Failure to deliver the physical and digital magazine after purchase (when delivery is applicable)

  4. Any other circumstance deemed eligible solely by SWFL BUSINESS MAGAZINE LLC

Important: Even when a request is eligible, SWFL may choose to resolve the issue through replacement delivery, correction, or account credit instead of a cash refund.

6) Refund Criteria (Review Standard)

Refund requests are evaluated based on:

  • the validity of the request,

  • the supporting information provided, and

  • adherence to the eligibility rules above.

SWFL BUSINESS MAGAZINE LLC reserves the right to deny any request that does not meet these criteria.

C) Billing Disputes & Contact Channels

7) Billing Disputes

If you believe there is a billing error, contact us immediately at:
billing@swflbusinessmagazine.com
We will investigate promptly and work toward a resolution.

8) Refund / Credit Questions

For refund-related inquiries or general support, contact:
editor@swflbusinessmagazine.com

D) Subscription Cancellation (If Subscriptions Are Offered)

9) Subscription Cancellation Window

Subscribers who wish to cancel a subscription and request a refund of any remaining unused portion must do so within 30 days of the original purchase date, unless otherwise stated in the subscription terms at checkout.

SWFL may issue a refund, partial refund, prorated refund, or account credit at its discretion depending on the circumstances and what was delivered/used.

E) Sponsorship Refund Policy (Gold & Silver Sponsorships)

10) 🚫 No Refunds for Sponsorships

Because Gold and Silver Sponsorships are limited, exclusive, curated, and customized, they are non-refundable once purchased.

11) Credit Option if You Cannot Participate

If you are unable to participate, SWFL will offer a credit equal to the sponsorship amount, which may be applied toward:

  • a future Business Speed Networking sponsorship, or

  • advertising space in SWFL Business Magazine.

12) Exclusivity Acknowledgment

Sponsorships are often industry-limited and exclusive. By securing your sponsorship, you acknowledge that other businesses may be prevented from participating in your category, and you agree to these non-refundable terms.

F) Business Speed Networking RSVP & Attendance Commitment

13) 🚫 All Sales Final — No Refunds (Event RSVPs)

By submitting your RSVP and payment for any Business Speed Networking event hosted by SWFL Business Magazine, you agree:

  • No refunds under any circumstance for RSVP/event fees.

  • The RSVP fee secures a seat in a structured, capacity-limited event.

14) 48-Hour Cancellation Courtesy (Credit Only — Not a Refund)

If you cannot attend, you must notify SWFL at least 48 hours before the event.
With proper notice, SWFL will provide a one-time event credit for a future Business Speed Networking event, subject to availability.

  • No cash refunds.

  • Credit is limited to one future event.

15) Repeated Cancellations & Enforcement

  • Two cancellations (even with proper notice) may result in a permanent ban from future events.

  • A no-show (failure to attend without 48+ hour notice) results in an immediate permanent ban from all future Business Speed Networking events hosted by SWFL Business Magazine.

16) Sponsor No-Show Consequence

Gold and Silver Sponsors who no-show may lose future eligibility for sponsorship and attendance.

17) Late Arrival / Check-In Closure

If rotations have started and check-in is closed, you may be denied entry. If you are denied entry due to late arrival after the event begins, it may be treated as a no-show.

G) Emergencies & Appeals (Events)

18) Emergency Appeal Process

We understand emergencies happen. If a verifiable emergency prevented attendance:

Final Decision: SWFL Business Magazine reserves the right to uphold or lift a ban at our sole discretion.

H) Chargebacks & Disputes

19) Chargebacks

Before filing a chargeback, you agree to contact SWFL to attempt resolution.
Unauthorized chargebacks may result in:

  • immediate cancellation of services/placements,

  • forfeiture of reserved spots,

  • removal from participation, and/or

  • future purchasing restrictions.

I) Updates

This policy may be updated periodically. The version posted on our website (or provided at checkout/invoice) at the time of purchase is the version that applies to that transaction unless otherwise required by law.
